Additional information- Joel is always with Valestat, in Val's human form, he can reside in and speak from Val's mind. When Val changes to vampire form and alot more frequently regardless lately, he appears as his own entity, usually in some form of white magic. Joel will stop at nothing to ensure Valestat never goes into a blood frenzy again and has cast a charm upon him that causes his very last feeding to recycle constantly throughout Val's vampire system, completely disintegrating Val's need to drink blood, he is never thirsty because of it. Anyone that Val cares about only calls out Joel’s name if ever in need of healing or help of any kind. Joel has the ability to temporarily bless vampires to allow them to reproduce. It is one of many things Joel can do if he chooses too. He is rarely used in combat unless Valestat or one of his allies are in very real danger.

Recently Valestat released Joel as his charge so that way Joel could find happiness with Jericho's blessings. He found happiness with Sivella who was dead, a guardian spirit who with Jericho and Joels help ended up with a created shell that she could jump into to be amongst the living. Joel ended up falling deeply in love with her and vice versa, she couldn't see her future without him even though she was technically dead. They mated and now she is pregnant with his children... because of what they both are, they have no idea what is about to come.
